Our Story

How it all started...

For more than eight years, Pastors Mark Williams and Bobby Waitman waited patiently for the Lord to give them the opportunity to serve together. Once God brought them back to the same area, He gave them the chance to pursue planting a church. As plans continued, Rocky Marshall joined the discussions and the church plant moved forward. On June 20th, 2020, Mark, Bobby, and Rocky signed the papers to make Lake Church of Texoma Inc. official.

Soon, Lake Church of Texoma (now also known as Lake.Church) began meeting in the Fair Barn at the Marshall County Fairgrounds. We are incredibly grateful to those who allowed our services to begin there. We outgrew the Fair Barn after only a few months and moved to our next temporary home. Our story continues below.

our permanent
home

For over a year our services were held at the Noble Activities Center at the Baptist Home for Girls located at 13976 Anthony Lane Madill, OK.

We are incredibly grateful to the leadership of the Baptist Girl's Home for blessing us with such a beautiful place for Lake.Church to meet and grow.

On Sunday, November 13, we held our celebratory opening of our new building following soft openings on the previous two Sundays.

Shown to the right is the new Lake.Church building while it was under construction.
